I would say that post comes daringly close to SPAM.. IMO a sponsorship basically means "We will send you free stuff, you just tell people its good"

TO me, reviews of people who recieve products for free or at a discount are worthless.

I think a requirement of a review should be a disclaimer of whether or not the product was purchased or not.

Don't be so quick to judge. Tbatch does have a well respected opinion around these parts and I have full confidence in him that his reviews will be as unbiased as possible. I understand the skepticism, as I have had that too, but HF members tend to be fair in most reviews.

Thank you very much,Mech...The reason I DID post the video was to promote George and TheHookah.

Plus, it's a shoutout to George and thehookah. If you did have it in a way to plug someone or have it be unbiased (wasn't even really a review, just an unboxing), you'd lose all credibility.

What this showed me is that thehookah has strong loyalty to their customers and one that gives them business at the level that Tbatch does, they see that, "hey, this guy smokes so much that he's probably smoking with lots of people. Lets send him some promotional gear and a little thank you." Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure that the gear sent to Tbatch won't affect his reviews because if it's good, it's good. If it's bad its bad

so, lemme get this straight...
you come back after 6 months of no posting, advertising for a vendor that has sent shills to post positive reviews here in the past, refuses to participate in the general forum discussions, and as a result can't have a vendor thread, and you tell uss they sent you 20 pounds or so of free shit so your and your friends could sit around and smoke? And this doesn't seem like it should raise red flags to us??

So you can be bought for a box of shisha you are saying?

I think its cool they are giving away shit, its their business, but since they arent exactly "friends" of the forum, I think they removed their discount code no? I would appriciate if you'd do THEIR advertising elsewhere. smile.gif

You always had a bad attitude towards me so it doesnt bother me...Sad that I made so many friends here and you still dont want me around...I guess I'll just roll with the punches.

I also had no idea they werent "friends" of HF..It doesnt list them in banned vendors. Edited by TBatcho07

And i think you havent paid enough attention to what happened at HP and HD, they got free stuff, they posted good reviews so they'd get more good stuff, no matter what the product was like. smile.gif

Too bad you missed the Mathazar show years ago, he was writing reviews for tobacco based on info he was given by the vendor, before he even smoked any of it. When he did smoke it it was mostly terrible, so he put up bad reviews, and all hell broke loose. wink.gif

I personally barely remember your name and you certainly arent important enough to hold a grudge against. I merely looked up your posts of the last little while and say that besides today you hadn't posted since Feb. 9th. You actually think i keep track of people in my head that way? please, don't flatter yourself.

They arent banned, but i think after this they may be. This is the kind of stuff they have done in the past. So did anyone over there suggest you DO anything for this sponsorship package? post a video to youtube or something? because i have a VERY hard time believing in a "sponsorship" without the sponsor expecting something in return. Like free publicity....

Im sorry for this "nonsense" if that's what you would like to call it...True,I haven't been here in a while,I still come here and chat,I don't post though....I have no idea what the current and past 5-7 months of drama has been.

So I sincerely apologize to you guys.

I can only imagine you all are thinking I am sort of annoying for posting this but like I said it was only to help out someone who helped me...And yes,it was ONLY an unpacking...I will review each one when I have time..If they are bad,so it will be said.

And again,I'm sorry.

I didn't make any personal attacks. YOU did. I didn't call your personal integrity into question, you questioned mine as an impartial Admin for this forum. So kindly save the defensive tone.

I don't approve of the Tactics Thehookah.com uses to get publicity and to get mention on this forum. Sorry they decided to use you this time.

you can find traces of it in the past posts if you search properly.....wasn't so funny at the time but it's pretty sad now. smile.gif

Wasn't even a mod then, though Mathazar WAS, which made it even worse....

AGAIN. Damn they never stop. However I suspect that TB is mostly innocent in this. The Vendor certainly isnt!

Like i said originally, it wasn't anything personal against tbatch as a person, was merely questioning the circumstances....at first.

My personal opinion is on how he handles this. This video right here...no, i would not consider it spam. It seems like he is just sharing his good news with up. Hell, I am a bit jealous. However, if he goes further, then it could be considered spam.

Final say is up to mushrat though.4

Edit:: there was a video he posted to promote george and the hookah... Oh well then.... I guess that's spam..

And I never saw the video, I just saw him saying he was sponsored by the hookah and people freaking out. Edited by newjacksm
